To start from the very beginning I must go back about 40 years when my parents built that house. A room next to the kitchen had to become a dining room but it never did. For some years my dad's mother lived in there and for long years it was my sister's room. But after she had finished the secondary school and moved to Tallinn we had not any special use of that room (let's-put-those-things-into-that-room-for-a-moment cannot be called for special use, can it?). That's how I decided to re-make it to my sewing room. So far I had sewed in our so-called office room but then I always had to take out the sewing machine, afterwards put it back to its place, textiles and other sewing stuff were in different rooms.
In June I started to renovate the room and now, about 4 months later I can represent you my almost ready sewing room :) I painted the ceiling, window sills and the floor, I put on a new wallpaper on the walls.

Pildil näha olevad lauad on taaskasutus, läbinud värskenduskuuri.
My dad was for big help and made the shelves that carry my craft books and sewing accessories. The two tables on the photo are recycled and re-painted.

Suur riiulitega kapp on sisustus- ja käsitööajakirjade hoiupaigaks, lisaks on seal pesa leidnud mõned kangad ja poolikud tööd. Sahtlites on lõngad, heegelniidid, mulineed (=hetkel suur segadus).
On the shelves of the big cupboard there are interior and craft magazines, part of the textiles and still not ready works, in the big drawers there are part of the yarns (=big mess).

Ukse kohal ja kõrval on isa tehtud riiulitel üks osa kokaraamatutest. Sinna riiuli alla tuleb seinale veel suur peegel :)
Above the entrance door and on the wall beside there are part of cook books. Below the shelf will be a place for a big mirror.

Kingitus iseendale: overlok, mis ootab kannatlikult minuga lähemalt tutvumist.
A gift for myself: an overlock machine that is patiently waiting for me to get to know it better.
---
New and old: the brand new overlock is placed on an old and dignified "feet" of Pfaff that once belonged to my grandpa who was a tailor.

Laste pildid aknalaual.

There is still this and that to do, i.e. sew curtains, make similar boxes to sewing accessories, hang up the embroidered pictures made by my granny, hang up drawings drawn by my sister etc...
Since my sister also loved to sew, the sewing room is also for remembrance of her.
